ED MANAGEMENT
Analyzing Patient Data
All hospitals struggle with continual demand in creating reports and analyzing all of the data that is created during a patient encounter. CMR collects data during the patient encounter and CMR’s reporting services seamlessly retrieve the data needed to manage the department in real time. One nurse manager states, “CMR has saved me 40 hours a month collecting information to generate reports and charts for the next Emergency Department meeting”. Data is also not skewed or biased as it is captured silently at the time of recording. CMR creates a healthcare culture that is connected and comprehensive.
Communication between physicians and nurses..
Communication between physicians and nurses is a critical component to efficient and safe patient care. CMR has greatly enhanced the communication among clinicians as expressed by the nurses currently using CMR in their Emergency Departments. This has been accomplished by the use of the flagging system on the patient “White Board”.
Flow of Patients
Physicians and nurses can now monitor the flow of patients in and out of the emergency department by simply glancing at the white board and visualizing:
- What needs to be done
- What has been done
- What is pending on each patient
"Best Practice Patterns" & "Clinician Pathway"CMR has the ability based on system prompts to ensure documentation meets the requirements by Joint Commission, CMS and third party payers. “Best Practice Patterns” and “Clinical Pathways” are provided within the application This significantly improves :
- Compliance
- Core measure reporting
- Enhances patient care
- Reduces professional liability risk
